Behind the scenes filming TVD

Ever wondered what your city or town looked like in the 1800′s? 1900′s? Well if your ever lucky enough to have a television show filmed in your town you may get to find out one day. The Vampire Diaries took Covington, Ga this week and in a matter of hours the streets were covered with dirt and carriages were lining the roads for a 1800′s scene and a awesome old timey car was out front of our court house for a scene straight out of the 1900′s. Although I cant post pictures from actual scenes being filmed…and I know the fans wouldn’t want the episode to be spoiled with anything their eyes shouldn’t have seen…YET.
I want this post to be all about the crew of TVD! Kudos to them! I wish that all the fans could see all the behind the scenes work that they do. For this episode the crew had to cover the streets around our square and in front of the court house with thousands of pounds of dirt in order to transform the present day to the past. Once they rolled in the carriages and cars from yester-year the courthouse that we’ve been enjoying for more than a hundred years looked just like it did way back when. Street signs were removed and barrels were carted in to set the stage…Shooting took place well into the wee hours of the morning and all had to be cleaned and removed and streets reopened all before the sun came up and everyone started their days by heading into work. Can you imagine shoveling all the dirt into just the right spot filming for hours and then shoveling all up so that we could drive our cars around the square. I hope that all the fans realize that we have such a phenomenal show not just because of the great cast and writers of TVD but also because the crew of this show work so very hard and care so much about what they do. If your ever lucky enough to see a show or movie being filmed I ask you to take the time to thank the crew. They deserve all the love and awards that the cast members get….the only difference is they deserve even more recognition in my opionion.

We need your HELP

I dont usually do this but as most of you know my family is always heavily invloved with helping whatever furry friend we can at any given moment. Iam sorry to say that may have hurt us this time around…Recently we had a stray cat show up here at our home. Even though we have to many animals we decided to take him in and feed him, build him a home on the front porch, name him and make him our own. Little did we know that he was sick….Morris needed love and thats all we cared about. The problem is once we realized he may be sick he had given whatever it is to 2 of our babies! My cat Grayson and my sons cat Ace are both very sick…it has gotten alot worse since last night and we have no idea how much taking them to the vet will cost. Iam scared and worried they are not going to make it along with the fact I dont know how in the hell we are going to take 3 cats to the vet in the am. I am asking anyone that can possibly help to please send whatever you can. These cats are part of our home and mean the world to us! ANY amount will help and you can choose whatever you can afford. I will post as soon as we see the vet what he says so everyone will know and I plan to keep giving updates….

TVD Panel at Paley Fest 2012

Saturday March 10th the stars of The Vampire Diaries will once again grace the stage of Paley Fest. Sure to talk finale of Season 3 of The Vampire Diaries any fans that can make it to the panel are sure to be there. All the action taking place at The Saban Theatre in Beverly Hills. Cast members for the Panel haven’t been announced yet but are sure to include many of the main cast.

Proudly announcing the next Eyecon Vampire Diaries Convention featuring the cast of TVD as well as The Secret Circle. Its so exciting for us to again sponsor and attend Eyecon. Silent auction for TVD autographs

I have the insane pleasure of having a job I totally enjoy that includes hanging out with the cast of the best TV show around these days….The Vampire Diaries. My very good friend Miss. Kat Graham told me recently that I should take advantage of that and start getting autographs of the cast for you fans. So I have decided to take some of the signed pictures that I have and auction them off for Kat’s Water project and The Ian Somerhalder foundation. I am posting pics of all the signed pictures of the TVD cast we have, I am accepting Silent bids. I hope that this helps the fans that cant attend the conventions or have the oppertunity to come to GA and take my tour. I want everyone to have the chance to have an autograph but also a chance to help out the cast by supporting the causes they are so passionate about.

Rules are:

Pick your picture and either comment the post here or email me your bid. List Each picture by stating who is in it. Email for Silent Bids is: vampirestalkerscontest@hotmail.com

In the message include which pic you want and what your MAXIMUM bid is.( I am not going to message everyone and say you are winning or losing.)

Once all bids are in the highest bidder of each picture will win.

In the Spirit of the season please take into acount that some of these pictures are signed by multiple cast members and be fair in bidding. I do reserve the right to not accept any bids that are to low. I will take each persons circumstances into account and hope that everyone can win the autograph or autographs of their choice for themselves or as the perfect gift but want to earn an fair amount for both of these projects from the TVD fandom.

VRO interviews

I had the distinct pleasure of hanging out with and interviewing your favorite cast members at Eyecon on Halloween weekend. I knew I loved all these guys but honestly didnt realize how funny most of these guys are. Its so much fun just to get to hang out behind the scenes and get to know them. Daniel Gilles is a trip and can I say I had no idea that I had been sitting with him interviewing him for over 30 minutes until we looked back at our footage. Steven Mcqueen told us things that would make many of blush…and Bryton James was an absoulute joy to be around. I hate the fact that I ran around all weekend with Kat though and never turned the recorder on…so Iam sorry for that. We saved Jospeh Morgan and Nina Dobrev for Sunday and then never had the time….so thats a big fail on our part. I can promise you though at the next Eyecon I will make sure I get all interviews done on Saturday. Please enjoy the interviews and give me your honest thoughts….Its a little harder to interview in person then it is on air…especially when you leave your questions at home!

Ian and Kat team up for Charity

The Ripple Effect coming up in LA December 10, 2011 is a fundraiser team up with our very own Kat Graham and Ian Somerhalder. The IS Foundation in conjunction with The Water Project will be benefiting from your presence and the silent and live auctions that will be taking place. I am so happy to see Kat and Ian come together for this project. I sure hope them much success and please remember this is one of the last chances is 2011 you will have to get your tax deductions…so this is a great opportunity to help yourself while helping so many others.
